The founding grounds of the Islamic Center for Cultural and Religious Activities in Bucharest date back 2001 Dr. Hajj al-Islam and the Muslim Dr. Mohammad Javad Ajei purchased an apartment for its activities in Romania under the responsibility of the Association of Islamic Students of Europe. With the expansion of the community's activities and the growing needs of Iranians living in Bucharest, many religious ceremonies and events were held at the Iranian school, with the support of the ambassadors of the Islamic Republic of Iran, but it was still necessary to provide a suitable and independent place for cultural and religious activities.
